Tucked away in dusty Tucson, Arizona, Rolling Thru Time is a hidden gem for auto enthusiasts. Opened just last year by Joseph Findysz, this South Park Avenue museum offers more than a walk through automotive history—it’s a vibrant community hub. Hosting everything from car club meetups to field trips and private events, Rolling Thru Time celebrates America’s love affair with the automobile.
Despite its youth, the museum boasts a stunning collection of antique vehicles. Highlights include early Ford Model Ts and As, like a hill climb-ready Model T Speedster, and a pristine lineup of late-model Mustangs, including a 1967 Shelby GT350. Muscle car fans will also find a 1970 Formula Firebird and a 1975 Pontiac Trans Am.
One standout is the original purple 1967 Pontiac GTO “Flame Car” from the Vin Diesel film XXX, complete with screen-used props and cast signatures, courtesy of owner Thomas Sherwood—who also contributes the film’s AHAB submarine and the hot rod sleigh from The Christmas Chronicles 2.
Beyond the cars, the museum features a working engine shop where vintage Fords are restored, and a paint shop that brings tired classics back to life. A recreated Model T assembly line showcases various historic models, including a 1906 Model N and a 1908 Model S. Other rooms house vintage fire engines—like a beautifully restored 1923 American LaFrance—alongside old tractors, military vehicles, and recreations of a Lucky Wishbone diner and an Ace Hardware store.
For younger visitors, there’s a scavenger hunt, sand pit, and plans underway for a dedicated kids’ zone.
Rolling Thru Time isn’t just a museum—it’s a living, breathing tribute to automotive history. Whether you’re into Model Ts, movie cars, or muscle machines, this Tucson treasure is well worth the trip.
