The 2026 Rockabilly Reunion Weekender roared to life Friday morning as gearheads fired up their rides and filled Havasu with the unmistakable rumble of classic engines. I rolled in a day early with my 1949 Chevy Coupe to join friends and The Pharaohs CC for the downtown car cruise — there’s nothing like streets lined with hot rods. Friday’s car show kicked off with an impressive lineup of traditional blue-collar rods. Standout moment: Dave’s 1933 Dodge 5-window coupe—a true show-stealer. As more cars arrived, the crowd spread out, ready for the bands to hit the stage. New this year was Anderson Auto and Powersports Group, the event’s proud new host, alongside vendors like The Bomonster tent, which showcased incredible art. The event’s sprawling layout—cars, food trucks, vendors, and live music—kept the energy high without ever feeling crowded. Sunsets over the lake added the perfect backdrop. Local favorites Downhill Fast and Bo Peep and the Backbeat lit up the stage, leaving a lasting impression on attendees. A word to fellow hot rodders: don’t sweat imperfections. Folks no one cares if your car isn’t painted, has no upholstery ,broken glass and no wipers. Get your car out there and join the fun.
