Straight off as car events go in the Phoenix metro surrounding area it makes the A-list. Buried way out in the dry desert of San Tan Valley we arrived at the tree lined lush green grass acreage that felt like we just pulled into a property in Payson or Show low. The cars are all lined up in a grass field with a large pole at the forefront sporting the stars and stripes flying high as the ship’s flag, telling us we landed at the right place. Kudos to the owners and hosts Brad & Rebecca, they did a splendid job preparing for the day’s activities and in supporting these cars and their owners. As you may deduce from the events title this is not your Corvette and Camaro fest. These rods tell a story and each one pulls you into the creative thoughts of its caretaker. The pictures show you the event’s character and really kinda take you folks had to work within certain means and more importantly get creative and resourceful. Just it all started back in the day and just as back then and today, out came some of the coolest cars you have ever seen.
