What perfect timing for this event! With Viva in April, we’ve all been itching for something with real substance—and this weekend delivered. Right before the summer heat sends us all into hibernation, Rarin’ To Go! gave us a reason to rally. Hats off to Topper and his crew for pulling it all together. Organizing a rockabilly event like something like this is no easy feat—especially the first time around—and they nailed it.

The event ran smoothly and brought in a stellar lineup of bands from across the globe—France, Spain, England—what a treat for us spectators! Hosted at the Holiday Inn in Long Beach, the setting was ideal: nice rooms, great staff, and a relaxed, affordable vibe that made the whole experience worth every penny.

Sunday’s rockabilly vintage flea market was a cool addition, with DJs spinning jumpin’ tunes while we browsed. A solid crew of us made the trip from Phoenix, and I think it’s safe to say—we’re all planning to be back next year.

Keep an eye out for Rarin’ To Go! in June—get on the email list and mark your calendar. Personally, I’m already looking forward to seeing what the lineup looks like for round two!
