Hot Rod Rumble 2025, All I can say is praise the good Lord there are still events like this, lets call it “controlled mayhem” once you are inside the race track almost anything goes. All day long classic cars can buzz around the race track, anything from a 31’ Model A to a late 50s limo, whatever just hop right on the track and go. And if that’s not enough right inside the field is the drag strip also going on all day, get inline and race whatever and whoever just Punch it! absolutely brilliant !!. Meanwhile Rockabilly bands playing all day, vendors, pin strippers, food trucks, burnout pit, vintage trailers (everywhere you look), and I was told over 1200 cars registered this year. Even our hotel parking lot itself was a car show as I’m sure several were in town. We arrived Thursday night and the hotel parking lot was its own welcoming taste of what was to come that weekend. The event takes place about 15 minutes outside of Colorado Springs at Pikes Peak International Raceway and for the 3 days it is consumed with true blue customs and hot rods from all over the country. We meet car club members from Montana, Texas, Oregon, Arizona, California and the performing artists from all over as well. The lineup was top notch, The Mighty Flea Circus, Lean Canteen, Tammi Savoy, Koffin Kats and our local AZ. favorite’s Downhill Fast and that’s just scratching the surface, many great bands and Djs throughout the nonstop weekend. Folks I keep saying it ,events like this and many throughout the year need to be experienced , I can’t sum up these weekends with simple words in a paragraph, make plans to get out there and be a part of it. Meeting like-minded folks and seeing great bands from all over is awesome. Life in a nutshell is about people and experience eh! So, jump in your rod and join in.
A special thanks to the event hosts and staff, Larry you and your team did an amazing job, Kodo’s my friend. I hope this article sparks a few to start making plans to be there for August 2026.
