Living in Prescott, this writer is amazed at the hidden treasures of Motorhead Culture that we discover in this region of northern Arizona. Dave Grossman, AKA “Harley Dave” is certainly testimony to this with Paula Mohlenbruck at his side. Located on the North side of Prescott, Harley Dave has amassed a collection of motorcycles, kool rides, automotive and MC memorabilia and of course a shop that has 4 lifetimes of parts, project cars, project bikes and collectables he will use some day, you know, this writer has the same syndrome. If you haven’t been to one of his BBQ’s you missed a kool event, lot of Motorheads, kool cars, kool MCs and of course fellow Hot Rodders and classic car guys and gals.

Harley Dave, if firstly known for MCs. He has ridden his ’31 Harley Davidson VI to many events and is almost revered in the MC world. He bought this ride from the original owner for $625, of course that was decades ago for sure. Dave kept the Bike stock and in good running order, capable of 90 MPH continuous running on those long iron butt runs. If you go to a MC event forget about the “Oldest Bike Award”, this is Dave’s almost every time! Dave’s collection of MC’s includes many rare rides, from Indians to Harleys, a few scoots, and yes, a 350 V8 Boss Hog also. Dave has already created his crown on his tombstone, a Harley piston barrel with his credence “The man who dies with the most toys wins”.

Ok, let’s talk about Dave’s collection of Kool Motorhead Rides. If you have been to his Shop/Garage, be careful of overload as you will be so impressed. The 50’s Mercury is a work in progress and going to be a kool kustom. Yet for those belly button guys, he has a ’57 Nomad’ that is sweet and driven with regularity. One of my favorites was the ’53 Buick Convertible that is in progress. This will be one kool car that would be on my list of favorites. Of course, his 33 Buick Victoria, one classic, you know there are only less than 10 left anywhere. This is a collector’s dream find. Of course he has a ’57 chevy convertible’, favorite driver, a GMC Motorhome with custom trailer of course an Airstream trailer in his vast collection. Dave has built over 50 cars to date and still counting as you go thru his shop and collection with many works in progress in his collection.

So, you think you have automotive memorabilia, Harley Dave is the undisputed King with collectibles thru out his automotive compound of building and site. Kool displays from his time as an MC guy and Bonified Motorhead that he has found in his travels for his collection. This writer was told he was once visited by the American Pickers and of course like all of us collectors, gonna use that item or project car/MC someday so it’s not for sale, and they came away with empty handed! I know the syndrome myself but trying to be realistic as space is running out.
