Also from the Mile High Nationals, my good friend Darrin Dolezal scored his 1st NHRA National event victory, by winng the Super Gas class driving his 160 mile per hour (150’s at Denver) ‘32 Ford big block Chevy powered Roadster. Darrin from Chandler, AZ owns Auto Image Paint & Body in Chandler. Darrin has been drag racing for over 40 years. Wife Debby Dolezal races the families Super Comp dragster. Son Brandon and daughter Amber Dolezal/Wright also race, as does grand daughter Mallory Dolezal (Brandon’s daughter). Mallory has now won 3 Jr. Dragster races since May of this year, that includes two Jr. Dragster Divisional races.
