Our show at Rustic Ranch Senior Living, a Destinations Senior Living property in Wickenburg, was a hit for the residents, the community, and all our members and friends who defied the gloomy skies to come out with their rides. Thankfully, the weather held out for us.
We kicked things off with a great breakfast at Dillon’s at Western Trails Ranch, which fueled us up for the cruise into Wickenburg. The event brought out a wonderful variety of vehicles—each with its own story.
But the story of the day belonged to Rustic Ranch resident Chuck Salmen, 97 years young, who received an unforgettable surprise from his son Frank. Frank brought out the ’32 Ford that Chuck built many years ago, a car Chuck had no idea he’d be seeing again. Though the car belongs to Frank today, it’s clear Chuck is still watching over him, making sure it’s well cared for—and from all appearances, it is.
A truly special moment on a memorable day.
