BlondZee’s Steakhouse – Camaros on the Bridge

Saturday February 3rd… a gathering of bowties of the Camaro persuasion held a meet up/car show to share good times in Lake Havasu City. The event started out with a cruise over London Bridge, then over to BlondZee’s SteakHouse, a local Havasu eatery and hang out for AZ GearHeads. This started early in the morning and after the morning’s local cruise including around the “Island”, the gathering’s final destination was the BlondZees Steakhouse car show put on for the local Desert Hills Fire Department charity. Nearly $200 was raised from the event to support their Desert Hills Fire Department who attended the event in a fire truck. They received the proceeds of the event at the closing ceremony. This event was limited to Camaros and most all models and years were represented as well as a few race cars. There were awards for Best Modern, Classic, Paint/Wrap, Wheels, Peoples Choice and of course Wild Card. The wild card trophy was picked by the future CEO of BlondZees, Delaney Yost, granddaughter of the owners. This was a FREE event, no cost to enter for participants. Cars came as far away as Oregon to attend this event. Nearly 30 cars participated, not bad for a first were and music available for participants. 50/50 was held with proceeds going to the local Fire Department. All voting for awards was done by participants except Wild Card, which was done by the future CEO! Best Classic-Mark Brown, Best Modern-Chris Parson, Wild Card-Camaro Chuck, People’s Choice-Camaro Chuck. Many spectators came to see the gathering including nearly 40 local Hot Rodders from the Pharaohs of Arizona, Lake Havasu City Chapter. They brought nearly as many classic and late model rides for breakfast, walked the show and supported this local charity event. Many spectators the event to see some modern classic iron and appreciate the efforts to create them.
