The 26th Annual Drag Racers Reunion was nothing short of spectacular. Bill Goosic once again managed to “level up” the experience, and thanks to Chuck Sundstrom, this year’s event was held at the renowned Radford Racing School—a fitting venue for a day dedicated to horsepower and heritage.

A total of 123 drag cars rolled in, showcasing the best of the sport. Throughout the day, attendees soaked in the sights, sounds, and stories of drag racing, with one of the highlights being the Arizona Drag Racing Hall of Fame induction ceremony. This year’s honorees included Bryan and Dwight Downing, Joe Faulkner, Robert Button, Dave Danish, Dan Geare, Tom Payton, and Tom Stitz, with the Pioneer Award going to Ed Smith. It was a moving tribute to these legends who helped shape the sport’s rich history.

A special moment came with a presentation of hand-drawn artwork by 97-year-old Tom Walsh Sr.—a heartfelt nod to the passion and tradition that continue to drive this community.

Vendors lined the venue with everything from racing memorabilia to gourmet coffee and delicious food, creating an energetic and welcoming environment. The weather couldn’t have been better—sunny and warm, setting the perfect stage for a celebration of speed, nostalgia, and camaraderie.

With the roar of engines and a deep sense of community, this reunion was more than an event—it was a celebration of drag racing’s legacy. Enthusiasts left with full hearts and unforgettable memories, already counting down to next year.
