The Classic
1966 NOVA SS

The year 1966 marked a significant chapter in the history of American muscle cars, and at the forefront of this automotive revolution was the Chevrolet Nova Super Sport, commonly known as the Nova SS. With its bold design, potent performance, and a roar that echoed through the streets, the 1966 Nova SS left an indelible mark on the muscle car landscape.

John living in San Tan has taken his time transforming the Classic Nova SS into something better. The two tone Black and Silver with a separating Red stripe make the sleek lines jump.

The wheels are American Racing front and rear. The Cowl hood provides the needed space for an LS3. The Nova has a cage and boxed frame to handle the 525 horses under the hood.

The interior of the 1966 maintains an original look. The seats are leather and in excellent condition. The dash is like new and equipped with Auto Meter Digital gauges. Custom center console and shifter. Vintage Air conditioning and tilt steering wheel. The Nova has PS, PB and Power Windows.

The appearance under the hood shows a custom compartment. The frame braced for safety. The engine a LS3 cooled by a large aluminum radiator. The LS3 engine is a great choice for any early muscle cars. The engine produces 525 HP. Billet Pullies and a cold air package. Headers matched for high flow with the LS motor. The hood has custom chrome hinges. The Transmission is a 4L70 over-drive.

The front and rear suspension are coil overs from QAI Suspensions. The underneath of this car shows a boxed frame for strength and connection to the roll cage. Everything appears new. There are no signs of any rust or wear and tear.

I remember these Nova SS on the streets of Central. Raced a few and always respected them. Classic Cars are not just vehicles; they are a tangible connection to our romantic past.
