Vintage Iron And Restoration

A while back, Mark and his Vintage Iron shop built an all-electric El Camino. Mark went through extensive schooling to become proficient in this new technology. In the shop right now is a 1947 Ford COE (cab over engine) that they are doing a complete all electric custom build on. The Revolt electric motor has over 800 pound-feet of torque and 600 horsepower. The build includes all of the batteries, a sophisticated control system, a torque box and V-drive with a driveshaft to the rear end, plus a lot more. Another electric-powered vehicle in the shop is a Super Lite sports car. It came into the shop partially built, the Vintage Iron crew will finish the build, including getting all of the electrics and batteries working properly. A 1951 Dodge pickup with modern Hemi power is in the shop to finish up the mechanicals of the build. They have also converted the 3 piece hood into one piece. Up on a lift is a 1979 Chevy C-10, that the shop completely custom built. It’s now powered by a 6.2 liter LS3 V-8 with over 500HP and the automatic overdrive transmission along with many other custom features like Vintage Air, full Ride Tech suspension, Dakota Digital gauges and many more. The shop has just finished a full new custom exhaust system with Borla mufflers. Below the truck is a 1960 Thunderbird that’s receiving several misc. upgrades.
