Doing General Motors LS based engine and transmission swaps is the house speciality at Tempe Speed. Here are a few examples; They had done the engine swap in the recent past on a 1971 Chevy C-10 pickup. It’s back now for a rear disc brake conversion and some electrical upgrades on its 4L80E transmission. A 1964 Cadillac Coupe Deville is receiving a complete LS1 with a 383 upgrade including a FAST 92mm throttle-body intake and a 4L65E a transmission swap. A new custom made Tempe Speed engine wiring harness and all the required plumbing and electrical is included. The big Caddy also gets a new fuel tank from Tanks Inc., new Dakota Digital gauges and a complete new Vintage Air A/C system. A complete new Painless Wiring bumper-to-bumper harness will complete this project. In 2019 Tempe Speed did a complete LS3 and TR6060 6 speed manual transmission conversion on a 1968 Chevy Nova. A California shop did mini tubs and a 9” Ford rearend conversion, but not correctly, so Tempe Speed is making it right. Muffler Masters installed an LS engine with a host of Dirty Dingo engine accessory brackets and motor mounts and a 4L80E transmission into their 1993 GMC shop-truck.
