Tempe Speed & Performance is known for doing engine swaps, especially General Motors LS based engine swaps, but they do much more, here are a few recent examples. Progress continues on a 1964 Cadillac Coupe DeVille. It now has new great looking 20” U.S. Mags with new tires and they have installed front disc brakes from Scarbird Co. A Wilwood master cylinder for better brake bias is part of the brake system upgrade. A complete new Dakota Digital gauge package with VHX gauges has been installed. The shop had previously removed the original Caddy engine & transmission and installed a 5.7 liter LS1 now stroked to 383 cubic inches. A Vintage Air Magnum A/C system has also been installed, along with all required plumbing, electrical and tuning. A 2003 GMC Sierra 4x4 pickup is being fitted with a fully rebuilt trans. and a new transfer case. A 2004 GMC Sierra pickup has been upgraded with a 450 horsepower LS crate engine. Another GMC (1968) 4x4 pickup will soon be upgraded with an Edelbrock Pro-Flo multiport electronic fuel injection (EFI) system, plus new aluminum classic finned valve covers. A BIG new Griffin aluminum radiator will improve the engine cooling. And, all new Classic Instruments gauges will be installed. Coming Soon to Tempe Speed & Performance; a 1968 Pontiac GTO for a complete LS3 engine swap, a 1984 Chevy C-10 for 6.0 LQ9 engine swap, a ‘57 Chevy pickup will be getting an LK7 5.3 engine swap and many other mechanical upgrades and a ‘66 Chevy C-10 will be getting an LS3 with 6 speed automatic overdrive transmission.
