Tempe Speed & Performance

As always, there were several interesting vehicles in the shop. A 1988 Toyota Land Cruiser had its original in-line 6 engine removed and was fitted with a 6.0 LS V-8 and a 4L65 automatic overdrive transmission, along with an Advanced Adapters transfer case, aftermarket A/C connected to the original climate control system, and all required components and tuning. A 1972 Chevy C-10 pickup is being fitted with a 5.3 liter LS V-8 engine and 4L60 AOD transmission. The conversion includes new Dirty Dingo engine mounts, a custom created Tempe Speed engine harness, and a conversion to power steering and an aftermarket A/C system.

A very unique and very cool 1946 Oldsmobile 88 is being completely transformed with a GM Performance 6.2 liter LS3 525 HP engine and matching 4L70 AOD transmission. This conversion required custom fabrication of a new engine crossmember and transmission crossmember, along with custom motor mounts. It also features all new front-to-rear custom wiring and a complete conversion from a 6-volt to a 12-volt system. A new Tempe Speed engine harness and a Vintage Air A/C system are included. A ’67 Camaro is receiving a Holley Sniper 1 to Sniper 2 upgrade kit and tuning. And a great-looking ’55 Chevy had its 383 stroker small block engine removed and replaced
with a late-model Camaro LS3 V-8 engine with a bigger roller cam, along with aftermarket A/C.
