Along with doing complete restorations and custom builds, San Tan Hot Rods also do mechanical repairs and upgrades. A ‘32 Ford Hi-Boy Hot Rod is receiving misc. mechanical repairs. The small block Chevy V-8 and automatic transmission are being re-sealed with new gaskets and seals. It will also be getting a new aluminum radiator. A 1951 Chevy Deluxe 2 door sedan with a 4.8 liter LS V-8 engine came into the shop with some overheated electrical wiring problems. The shop has diagnosed and repaired the problem. Progress continues on the full custom build of a 1955 Chevy short-bed pickup truck. The truck now sits on a 2008 Corvette complete drivetrain with its 430 horsepower LS3 V-8 and 6 speed manual transmission. The truck is loaded with other performance upgrades. A 1974 Chevy Blazer is in the beginning stages of a complete restoration. All new floors will be installed soon. A 1934 Ford sedan is receiving complete body preparation, leading up to a custom paint job. A 1982 Jeep CJ7 is being fitted with hydraulic steering and a new 4 link front suspension upgrade. Its gold paint will also be freshened as needed. Progress continues on a complete restoration buildup of a 1957 Chevy Bel Air hardtop. It’s powered by a 427cid LS7 V-8.
