Rip’s Performance

Rip’s Performance is a true Speciality shop, in that they also build and maintain circle track race cars and do a wide variety of mechanical work and custom fabrication. They also build and rebuild driveshafts in-house, including the all-important balancing. They build custom differentials and rebuild them too. On this day, they were in the process of repairing some seriously damaged suspension components on a desert sand car. When finished it will be as good as new. Up on a lift a 1965 GMC pickup was in the process of a complete rebuild of its DANA 60 rear end. A 1976 Chevy pickup is being converted to big block Chevy power and getting a Turbo 400 transmission. The #9 IMCA Sport Mod race car is receiving some upgraded safety bars and getting new master cylinders in the braking system. In the driveshaft shop, a driveshaft has been rebuilt and is now being spin balanced.
