Blink and it’s June!!

I haven’t mentioned in a while how fast time flies by, but please don’t tell me it’s already June. June??? What happened to March, April, and May? Oh yeah, they flew by like a rock headed for your windshield. I blinked and three months had flown by, but my windshield is still intact.

Yep, we got a little 109-degree temperature blip in mid-March to remind all of us who live full-time in Arizona that summer — and day after day of those 109 to 120-degree days — are almost upon us.

My first of hopefully many trips to the high country this summer will be attending the very cool 11th Annual Historic Route 66 Car Show in Williams, Arizona on June 5th and 6th. This has been one of my favorite events for many years. This time, I’m taking an RV and spending a few days up in the cool mountain areas, exploring places I’ve never visited in my almost 40 years of living in Arizona.

I might be doing it in my latest Car Nut Ball purchase, a 1979 American Clipper small-block 400 cubic-inch Chevy-powered 20-foot motorhome. That’s if I can get the interior revitalized in time???

Hope everyone has a safe and COOL SUMMER!!! Remember to drink more water than you think you need. Dehydration can really sneak up on you.
