Big 10 Garage

We Welcome Jason Bowman and his BIG 10 Garage to Roddin’ & Racin’. This shop does a wide variety of mechanical work, including General Motors LS based engine swaps/conversions, custom fabrication, stainless steel exhaust systems, turbo charging systems and supercharger systems and they also do diesel engine swaps/conversions as well. The BIG 10 Garage has done several complete bumper to bumper pickup truck custom builds. One of those amazing builds was on display at the recent SEMA Show in Las Vegas. Shown here are a few examples in the shop right now. A 1972 Chevy Suburban is being converted from small block power to a 6.7 liter Cummins turbo diesel engine and NV 4500 manual 5 speed transmission. In the process of a full custom OMG build is a 1965 Chevy pickup. The stock frame is gone, it now has a brand new GSI custom frame. The new GM Performance LSX 376 cubic inch 6.2 liters V-8 that’s topped with a Blower Shop supercharger. We’ll have more as this truck moves forward in the build process. Moving into the finishing stages of a major mechanical build-up is a 1976 GMC pickup. This truck got an LSX 454 V-8 with Magnuson supercharger. The projected horsepower is at least 1000. The transmission is a GM 6L90E AOD. It has a complete Scott’s Hot Rod Shop chassis/frame. The complete Dakota Digital electronics will be modern vehicle convenient with things like automatic headlights, retain power accessories, fade away dome light, compass, ambient air temperature, and all digital gauges. Other upgrades include, tilt wheel steering, cruise control, Retro Sound stereo system, Gen lV Vintage Air AC/heat system and a full custom interior.
