Here are progress reports on four unique and different builds. The frame with engine is for a 1965 Chevy pickup complete in-house custom build. The engine is a GM 376 LSX crate V-8 now topped with an 871 Blower Shop supercharger with Holley dual throttle body EFI units and stainless steel fuel system. The headers are from Ultimate. The custom-built exhaust is 3” in stainless steel with Magnaflow mufflers and custom billet (pillow) exhaust hangers. The transmission is a Tremec T-56 six speed manual. The frame is a GSI with air bags, and Accuair air management for the airbags. The rear end is a custom made Curry 9” Ford with RideTech shocks front and rear. A 1971 Pontiac Firebird is another complete in-house custom build. It has Ride Tech suspension with coil-overs in front. It has a custom built No Coast 9” Ford rearend with triangulated four link. Baer Brakes will be on all four corners, stopping the US Mag Wheels. The engine is a GM 430 horsepower LS3 with 6L80E AOD transmission. Dirty Dingo motor mounts were used on the engine, that’s set back 2 inches for improved weight transfer. The build also includes a Vintage Air A/C system, Dakota Digital gauges, and complete new American Auto Wire wiring. The BIG 10 Garage crew also shaved and smoothed the firewall. A new vinyl top will be installed, but the original paint will be buffed and retained. A 1978 Chevy pickup is receiving a full new RideTech coilover front suspension. For better engine clearance they’ve installed a set of Slosh Tubz inner fender wells. The shop is also installing a 5.3 liter LS V-8 engine and Holley intake kit and the 4L60E AOD transmission. A new Vintage Air A/C system is included in the build. Progress continues on a 3 door 1972 Chevy Suburban full custom build. It will be fitted with a Dodge Cummins 6.7 liter diesel engine and NV 4500 5 speed manual transmission with NP205 4×4 transfer case. The frame was clearanced for the new Vintage Air A/C compressor and for the power steering pump. These are great examples of the type of work that the BIG 10 Garage specializes in.
