Affordable Powder Coating has been in business since 1980. If you do the math, that’s over 40 years and l bet the powder coating industry has changed and improved a lot in that time. There are many different types of coatings, ranging from the traditional dry powder that is sprayed onto an electrically charged metal item and then the powder is basically backed onto the surface. The end result is a super durable and long lasting finish. The colors and textures are now almost unlimited. There are also specialty powder coatings such as teflons, high temperature coatings, ceramic coatings and others. The high temp. coatings can be used for heat dispersion on things like pistons, headers, turbo inner-coolers and piping and many other applications where high heat is present. Rifles and handguns are often powder coated for added durability and cosmetic improvements.
