Vintage Iron And Restoration

Every time I provide an update from Vintage Iron, I’m amazed by the incredible variety of vehicles they’re working on. While nine examples are highlighted here, there are many more projects in progress. From vintage antiques to classics from the ’50s, ’60s, ’70s, and even the ’80s, their expertise spans decades.

Here’s a glimpse of what’s happening at Vintage Iron:

• 1936 Hudson Terraplane: This all-original vintage car is undergoing a complete front-to-rear rewire of its 6-volt electrical system.
• 1966 Sunbeam Tiger: This small but mighty car is receiving a full mechanical rebuild, including its small-block Ford Hi-Po V8 engine, a complete rewire, suspension overhaul, and numerous upgrades.
• 1963 Corvette (Fuel Injected): Repairs are being made to the rare Rochester mechanical fuel injection system, along with precision performance tuning.
• 1956 Chevy: This car is in the midst of a ground-up custom Restomod build. It features a modern GM LS3 6.2-liter V8, Vintage Air A/C system, Wilwood disc brakes, a unique tilt front end, and a range of performance, suspension, safety, and cosmetic upgrades.
• 1970 Pontiac Firebird TA: Arriving in boxes and pieces, this car is being meticulously reassembled so the owner can enjoy it as it was meant to be.
• 1970 Dodge Challenger: Suspension upgrades are underway for improved handling and performance.
• 1967 Corvette (Tri-Power 427 Big Block): The tri-power intake manifold is being repaired and tuned to maximize the car’s performance.
• 1968 Mustang (Eleanor): This beautiful black Mustang is receiving all-new fuel lines from the gas tank to the engine.
