PRK always has interesting cars and trucks in their Mesa shop, and that was especially true on this visit. Up on one of the shop’s multiple lifts was a 1961 Lincoln Continental convertible. This larger-than-life car is being fitted with a 408 cubic inch stroker LS-based V-8 engine and 4L60E automatic transmission. A lot of custom fabrication and modifications are going into this custom build, including a Classic Auto Air A/C system that’s being integrated into the original A/C controls. Right next to the Lincoln, a 1959 Edsel Ranger is being completely converted, with a PRK Automotive in-house built 6.0 LS V-8 and a 6L80E automatic transmission. A Classic Auto Air A/C system and an American Auto Wire front-to-rear wiring upgrade are part of the build.

In the final stages of a complete in-house frame-off restoration custom build is a 1963 Corvette split-window coupe. The new engine is a 6.2-liter LS3 V-8, with a Classic Auto Air A/C system, and an all-new custom interior created by Bell Auto Upholstery. There is so much more in this awesome car. Progress continues on a 1964 Plymouth Fury OMG build-up. An in-house built 427 cid GEN 3 Hemi engine will be fitted with twin turbos, then mated to a Jakes Performance built GM 4L80E automatic overdrive transmission that also requires a special engine-to-transmission adapter. All custom wiring and plumbing are part of the build. A ’68 custom Camaro is getting a modern GM Gen 5 LT4 V-8 with a Tremec T-56 6-speed manual transmission. A complete Holley Dominator EFI system will handle the fuel delivery. A Classic Auto Air A/C system is also on the build sheet. Above the Camaro is PRK’s full-race 1994 S-10 drag truck.
