It was once again time for the Troop Box Convoy Car & Bike Show—a proud gathering of supporters honoring our veterans and active-duty troops! The 7th annual event was a huge success, drawing an impressive turnout of cars, bikes, and spectators, all united for a noble cause.
Throughout the day, a steady stream of hundreds of visitors, car enthusiasts, and yes—many snowbirds—gathered in support of our military. This patriotic event has become a must-attend occasion in Lake Havasu City. Hosted by the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 81, with support from American Legion Post 81, Sons of the American Legion Squadron 81, and countless volunteers, the show is a heartfelt labor of love dedicated to those who serve.
Major sponsors included Relics & Rods (hosts of the fall “Run to the Sun” car show) and the London Bridge Republican Women. A special thanks goes to the London Bridge Plaza Association for providing the venue, restrooms, and logistical support—key to making this quality event happen.
A central mission of the event is providing care packages for deployed troops. These packages—filled with items specifically requested by the troops—help boost morale and serve as reminders that they are not forgotten, especially during the holidays. Since 2005, Auxiliary members have sent monthly care packages to troops stationed around the globe.
The 2025 show was another record-setting year, raising an incredible $36,000 in support of our deployed service members. Dignitaries from the American Legion National and Department levels were in attendance, standing in solidarity with the cause.
The day ran smoothly—from arrival and parking to the awards ceremony. Parking was well-organized, with quick assistance getting classic rides into place. The event kicked off with a stirring color guard ceremony and the national anthem—a highlight for many. Delicious food and drinks were available all day at the on-site American Legion Post facility, which was open to the public. Music from various eras played at just the right volume to enhance the atmosphere.
The show welcomed all types of vehicles—cars, trucks, motorcycles, daily drivers, military vehicles, and even a custom-built train that looked like a car! With 46 individual awards and five club participation trophies, appreciation for every entrant was on full display. Clubs recognized included the Pharaohs of Arizona Havasu, Relics & Rods, Over the Hill Gang, Outcast, and Havasu Classics—all showing up in full force.
The day concluded with raffle drawings and a lively 50/50 fundraiser, wrapping up a truly memorable event.
