Man, what a way to spend a Saturday afternoon! Rockin’ Boppin’ Betties, stellar blue-collar hot rods, and kickass rockabilly bands made for an unforgettable day.
The show kicked off with DJ Tank spinning jump blues 45s, warming up the crowd for Bo Peep and the Backbeat to rock the stage. Next up, DJ Wolf kept the energy high, spinning jitterbug jumpers while folks checked out the parking lot, packed with what I like to call true blue-collar hot rods—cars that are driven, not stored. These machines are built with blood, sweat, and metal bent over knees, embodying the spirit of real hot rodders.
Rips always delivers as a top-notch venue, and the crowd at the Rockabilly Rat Show is dedicated to keeping the culture alive—no easy feat in a city full of couch sitters!
Thee Stillnites were next to hit the stage, and they absolutely tore it up. Time flew by, and before we knew it, Downhill Fast was setting up. They started with a bang and ended with one too! Every band brought their A-game—if you haven’t caught them live yet, shame on you!
To close out the show, DJ Bacpac took over, spinning neobilly stompin’ cool tunes—an epic way to end the day.
