2ND SATURDAY CARS & COFFEE AT ROCK POINT CHURCH IN QUEEN CREEK

I’ve been taking free copies of Roddin’ Arizona newspaper to this event for several years. I was there near the beginning, when there were only a handful of vehicles. That was then, this is now, on Saturday April 12th, I arrived at the Rock Point Church (24759 S. Power Rd. one block north from Riggs Rd. in Queen Creek) parking lot at 6:45am and there were already close to 50 vehicles parked. The sun was up, another beautiful spring day had blossomed. I set down the bundles of Roddin’ AZ at the free donut booth and of course grabbed one for my stroll around the cars. All vehicles are welcome from vintage classics, hot rods, muscle cars, exotics and modern muscle cars too, plus, there are always some unique one-of-a-kind vehicles as well. This East valley gathering takes place on the 2nd Saturday morning from 7:am till 10:am all throughout the year. When l headed home at 7:30, there was a steady stream of cool cars and trucks coming in and by now there were at least 150 vehicles already parked. The Rock Point Coffee Company is also right there.
