Unveiled at GoodGuys Nov. 18th in Scottsdale, AZ. The company that brought us the MODENA G.T. SPYDER, as featured in “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off,” is making a comeback. It is a high performance, handbuilt sports car first released in 1986. Motor Trend named it one of the six best “Dream Come True” machines, and it has been recognized by Car and Driver as “State of the Art.” On top of those accolades, it was also the 22nd vehicle to be inducted into the Smithsonian Historical Vehicle Association Hall of Fame.

The Modena G.T. features a hand-laid carbon fiber body, a multi-tube backbone frame, dual wishbone front suspension, five link NASCAR type suspension and twelve-inch vented/slotted front and rear disc brakes the Modena G.T. is truly state-of-the-art. This is all built upon the same dependable foundation that was designed in 1984 by Bob Webb, the chief chassis designer for Roger Penske’s Indianapolis 500 cars. Power comes from either an all aluminum Ford Godzilla engines or classic Ford 351 Windsor (stroked to 427 cubic inches, with over 500 horsepower).

With a full Italian leather interior and Wilton wool carpeting, there is no expense spared. Each car is handcrafted with over 1,500 hours spent perfecting every detail of this classic Grand Touring supercar. Weighing in at only 2,400 lbs, a 0 to 60 time of just 3.5 seconds and the classic look of the original Modena Spyder California, it’s the “full package”.

Modena Classic Design purchased the company from the original designer and president of Modena Design and Development, Neil Glassmoyer, and is offering an exclusive continuation of 10 cars to be built to the customer’s unique specifications.

If you are interested in getting one of these beauties in your garage, visit modenagtspyder.com… If not in your budget, then soon you will be able to go see the announced spinoff movie; it’s going to be about the 2 garage guys who take the car out for a spin while Ferris and Co. are taking their day off. No Joke!
